Making it Vintage

Hello there! I'm posting a day early this week as tomorrow is going to be a bit of a hectic one for me.  This week I decided to play along with TGIF Challenge #TGIFC312 - Make It Vintage.

The products that immediately came to mind for me was a skate die I have from Gina Marie Designs, and the Plaid Tidings DSP from Stampin' Up! that was featured in the Aug-Dec 2020 mini catalogue.

Freezin Season

For the majority of my years there has alway been a snowstorm on my birthday (including the day I was actually born), but not this year!  This year the actual day of birthday was cold, sunny and beautiful!  The snow came a few days later...

Even though the fluffy white stuff makes a horrible commute for those who have to go out, for me it meant time to hunker down in my studio and get creating!

Christmas Tags and A Gift With Purchase!

Hi there! Hard to believe we are already a week into December isn't it?  And yet, here we are!  I'm really excited to share some Christmas tags with you today, and tell you about a fantastic GIFT WITH PURCHASE promo I'm offering this week!

I always like to finish off my gifts with a special handmade tag.  I try to come up with a few simple designs every year that I can make multiples of.  This year I focused on the Sweetest Time Bundle and Tis The Season 6x6 DSP.  I loved the paper pad and when it came to creating my tags I really only had scraps left to do so.

Beary Christmas

It's always fun playing around with new stamp sets (like a kid at Christmas right?), but sometimes it's also fun to go back and pull out some older stamps sets that I still love just as much as the day I got them.

The cards I'm sharing today are from three such stamp sets.  Mama Elephant's 'Merry Greetings', Stampin' Up!'s 'Four The Holidays' and My Favorite Things 'Polar Bear Pals'.

Poinsettia Place Suite

Hi there!  A few quick cards to share with you today that feature varies products from the Poinsettia Place Suite Collection from Stampin' Up!

This collection showcases a stamp and die set (or bundle), designer series paper, plush specialty paper, beaded pearls and sheer ribbon.  It is nothing short of stunning.

Joy To The World

The cards I'm sharing with you today are clean and simple.  The inspiration was actually another word of the week.. 'TREES'. Now, if you're looking at my cards and thinking okay... what about the wreath? That's not a tree.  No, it's not. But I while I had the stamp set out to make the tree card, I figured I'd make a wreath one too!

This time I went with non-traditional Christmas colours.  I chose three bright colours of Catherine Pooler ink and matching Stampin' Up! cardstock.

Sweet Gifts

Like many crafty moms, I always like to make something "altered" for the kids for Christmas. Something cute and fun that I think they will get a kick out of even if they aren't such little kiddos anymore.

I few weeks back I came across some small jars in my drawer that I had picked up at Michael's ages ago. Lightbulb! I knew exactly what I was going to make as soon as I saw them.

Fleece Navidad

Hi there! Thanks for popping by.  With Christmas right around the corner so many are in a mad dash to get Christmas cards created and out the door, but why not have a little fun while doing so?

One of the Facebook groups I am a part of (and love dearly) is sharing a word of the week to have a little bit of fun during this crazy time.  I haven't been able to play along every week, but I think it's such a neat idea!

Poinsettia's in shades of black and green

In recent posts I've been sharing many Christmas cards with you.  Today I'm sharing a few more I've made in shades of black and green this time.

I was so pleased with how these cards came together using a mix of old and new supplies (always feels good to use up the older stuff!).  Here is a closer look..

Kringle & Co (photo heavy post)

In my last post I shared two winter cards I created using Stampin' Up!'s Snowflake Splendor DSP and the Kringle & Co stamp set from Photo Play.  In this post I'm sharing a few more Christmas cards I've made using that same stamp set AND the matching 6x6 paper pad and ephemera.

I had used a few pages of the paper pad already so it wasn't a brand new pad when I went to create these cards, however, I was still able to create 10 new Christmas cards with what was left.

Winter Snowflakes

Hi there!  Quick little post today.  One of my favourite designer series paper packs that Stampin' Up! is offering right now is called Snowflake Splender.

I love the purple and blues together. It mixes things up from the traditional red and green Christmas theme.  Really you can use this patterned paper for holiday cards like I did here, but it would also be great for a winter birthday or thinking of you card.
