Hi there! Hard to believe we are already a week into December isn't it? And yet, here we are! I'm really excited to share some Christmas tags with you today, and tell you about a fantastic GIFT WITH PURCHASE promo I'm offering this week!
I always like to finish off my gifts with a special handmade tag. I try to come up with a few simple designs every year that I can make multiples of. This year I focused on the Sweetest Time Bundle and Tis The Season 6x6 DSP. I loved the paper pad and when it came to creating my tags I really only had scraps left to do so.
To make the tag bases I cut my cardstock to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches and then in half again to 2 3/4 x 4 1/4 inches. Each layer after that is 1/4 inch smaller. Here is a breakdown of the measurements:
Tag #1 - base 2 3/4 x 4 1/4, layer one 2 1/2 x 4, layer two 2 1/4 x 3 3/4, strip 1/4 x 5
Tag #2 - base 2 3/4 x 4 1/4, layer one 2 1/2 x 4, layer two 2 1/4 x 3 3/4
Tag #3 - base 2 3/4 x 4 1/4, layer one 2 1/2 x 4, layer two 2 1/4 x 2 3/4
Tag #4 - base 2 3/4 x 4 1/4, layer one, two and three 2 3/4 x 1
You could bulk create these tags in an afternoon. Cut out all your pieces and then just assembly line them to put them together!
