Sweet Cards Using The Paper Tree

Hi there!  In an earlier blogpost I had shared some cards I had made using the Forever Pals collection from The Paper Tree.  Today I'm sharing four more cards I made with this collection using a much different colour palette.

Queen Anne's Lace

Queen Anne's Lace - this is such a sweet and simple stamp set from Stampin' Up! and I think often gets overlooked.  I love how you can make the image soft and gentle like I did in the card below, or bold and beautiful like my bold purple and gold cards above. This set is also so perfect to send out cards to those who may be struggling a bit right now with COVID and all the lockdowns, as it has some really nice sentiments.

Thank You Card Sets

It's always fun to add ribbons and embellishments to cards, but every now and then I like to keep it really simple and let the paper and stamps do all the talking.

This was exactly the case here when I created these thank you card sets.  I used Flower and Field DSP, Heal Your Heart and A Touch of Ink stamps set all of which are part of Sale-a-Bration.

Dragonfly Garden

In the new Jan-Jun Mini catalogue there is a Dragonfly Garden Bundle which features a beautiful stamp set and coordinating dragonfly punch. Here are just a few of the cards I've made with what is sure to be a much loved set.

The paper used here is from the Peony Garden DSP and it really gives these cards a nice soft and elegant feel.

Thank you so much

Hi there!  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Plenty of turkey, family zoom chats and laughter were shared here.  It was different for sure, but I am thankful that we were all able to connect in some form or another.

Which brings me to the thank you card I'm sharing today!  With the bluster of Christmas in the review mirror, we can now focus our excitement on the upcoming SALE-A-BRATION with Stampin' Up! Whoot whoot!

Simple Thanks

Hi there. A quick post today to share some thank you cards I made today using the Forever Fern stamp set, dies and designer series paper.

This is truly a beautiful stamp set, as are the coordinating papers.  The various style leaf patterns would be great in pretty much any colour which makes it a nice versatile set to have in your collection.

All Inclusive Card Kits

Have you checked out the All Inclusive Card Kits offered in the current annual Stampin' Up! catalogue??  They are so well put together, and what a great idea really.  They have everything you need to sit down and whip up some cards!

I recently sat down with the Simply Citrus card kit.  It comes with enough supplies to make 15 cards, including a little pamphlet with card ideas, tips and steps to put your cards together.

A Gilded Autumn Thank you

One of my favorite patterned papers that Stampin' Up! came out with this year is the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP.  In my perfect world Summer and Fall would last for 9 months of the year and Spring and Winter would only last for 3!

I absolutely love this crisp fall air, the tastes and smells and of course, THE COLOURS! This paper line falls right into that last category. Deep oranges, rich browns, beautiful golds.. all so pretty. And if the  paper isn't love, there is also a Beautiful Autumn stamp set and Autumn punch pack!

The One Sheet Wonder

I’ve often seen on Pinterest and YouTube where people have created cards doing something they call a ‘one sheet wonder’.  The concept is to use only one sheet of patterned paper to create as many cards as you can. I’ve honestly never stopped to pay too much attention to this concept, until a few weeks ago that is.

During the current pandemic a group of creative gals I know started a private Facebook chat in which they take turns coming up with a card making challenge everyday.  As I’ve still been working full time (from home) I haven’t been participating in the daily challenges, but when I saw one of the ladies post the days challenge as a ‘one sheet wonder’ challenge, I decided it was time to pay more attention and give it a go.
