Count On Me

Hi there! Seems like it's been so long since my last post.  Our little Salty Dog is keeping me on my toes and growing like a weed!  Now that we are getting into more of a routine I'll slowly be able to reclaim a bit of crafting time (I think).  None-the-less, I've been really wanting to play with Stampin' Up!'s "Count On Me" stamp set so I was happy to find the time to do so this week.  The little charaters in this stamp set are so stinkin' cute!

Made with Love

I absolutely adore this little knitting gnome!  As soon as I saw her I knew I had to have her.  I'm not a knitter per say, but I have so many friends that are and I knew that I could make some really fun cards for them with this image.

Slimline Birthday

Today I played around creating a few slimline birthday cards.  I blended some distress oxides onto a 4 x 9 piece of white cardstock and then used slimline dies from Pink Fresh Studios to make my backgrounds.

I then used pattern paper, letter dies and foam adhesive to cut out 'For You' and adhere it to my card.  For both cards I used white embossing powder on black cardstock for my secondary sentiment.

Fleece Navidad

Hi there! Thanks for popping by.  With Christmas right around the corner so many are in a mad dash to get Christmas cards created and out the door, but why not have a little fun while doing so?

One of the Facebook groups I am a part of (and love dearly) is sharing a word of the week to have a little bit of fun during this crazy time.  I haven't been able to play along every week, but I think it's such a neat idea!

Distress Oxide, Welcome to my Stash

Good morning!  A few months ago I was introduced to Distress Oxide inks.  Now I know Distress Oxides are not new, but I had never paid them much attention as I already owned several Distress Inks.  In my mind I thought how different can they really be?  Turns out they are VERY different, and I 💛 them!

I have to admit, I was for-warned that this may very well happen... These inks blend so beautifully!  I used Milled Lavender, Cracked Pistachio and Peeled Paint Distress Oxides on these cards, and I blended them using the Taylored Expressions blending brushes.  I came across a similar colour palette on Pinterest and really liked how pretty it was, don't you think?
