Freezin Season

For the majority of my years there has alway been a snowstorm on my birthday (including the day I was actually born), but not this year!  This year the actual day of birthday was cold, sunny and beautiful!  The snow came a few days later...

Even though the fluffy white stuff makes a horrible commute for those who have to go out, for me it meant time to hunker down in my studio and get creating!

I decided to pull out an older kit I had in my stash from Simple Stories called 'Freezin Season'.  Although I feel like this kit was designed more with scrapbookers in mind, I had a lot of fun putting these winter cards together.

At the time I got the kit I had also bought a coordinating sticker pack to use for fun ways to embellish cards. That's where all those little words strips come from.  I love the results.  I added a little Nuvo shimmer to make the globes look snowy and I think it worked!

I guess I wouldn't mind a few more 'snow days' like this. ;)
