Distress Oxide, Welcome to my Stash

Good morning!  A few months ago I was introduced to Distress Oxide inks.  Now I know Distress Oxides are not new, but I had never paid them much attention as I already owned several Distress Inks.  In my mind I thought how different can they really be?  Turns out they are VERY different, and I 💛 them!

I have to admit, I was for-warned that this may very well happen... These inks blend so beautifully!  I used Milled Lavender, Cracked Pistachio and Peeled Paint Distress Oxides on these cards, and I blended them using the Taylored Expressions blending brushes.  I came across a similar colour palette on Pinterest and really liked how pretty it was, don't you think?

I used the Sunflowers die set from Stampin' Up! and the sentiment is from the Walk In The Woods stamp set, also from Stampin' Up!.  I added a Stick It sheet to the back of my whisper white cardstock and then ran the sunflower die through my Big Shot.  It makes it really easy to just peel off the design and stick it to you card this way rather than trying to use wet glue or a tape runner.

If sunflowers are your thing, you can get the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set to coordinate with the dies as well.  I know this stamp and die combo is going to see a lot of use from me, it's sooo pretty.

The cardstock I used for my card base (or for the matte in the case of my A2 card) is called mint macaron and it is also from Stampin' Up!  I am super happy that my Distress Oxide inks match with so many of Stampin' Up!'s colours.  I like to mix and match my supplies to get the most out of them, don't you?

For the finishing touch I added a few bits of bling, and voila!  Super cute, super quick.
