Today I'm showcasing how you can mix and match Stampin' Up! products with other product lines you may have in your stash. I like to get the most out of my supplies, and when I'm able to mix and match, it's definitely a bonus.
My first card combines Stampin' Up!'s Expressions in Ink DSP with Gina K's Delightful Blooms stamp set. The image is heat embossed in white on Stampin' Up! vellum cardstock and then fussy cut out by hand. The sentiment is from The Ton.
Using the same floral image I heat embossed again, but this time onto basic white cardstock. I used blender brushes and the new 2021-2023 In Colors. I cut a slightly smaller piece of basic white cardstock and splattered it with ink, adhered it to my card base and added a strip of washi tape to the top. I fussy cut the image, added Pearl Basic Jewels and another sentiment from The Ton.
For my last card I continued with the heat embossing onto basic white cardstock, ink blended using blender brushes and Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia inks and then die cut the image using an oval shaped die. I then stamped the image again onto another piece of basic white cardstock using the Polished Pink ink, and then die cut it out with a stitched rectangle die. Then I lined up the oval image with the rectangle image and adhered them together. I used Polished Pink cardstock to mat my stamping and then a simple sentiment from the same Gina K stamp set finished things off.
I hope you find a bit of inspiration here on stretching your favorite products. Have a safe and Happy Canada Day!
