Game On in Red, Black and Grey

Like most crafters, I find there are never enough hours in a day/week/month/year to do all the creating I want to do.  As a result, I'm often weeks if not months behind using stamp sets from the time I purchase them.  I've promised myself to really try to get better about this!

The Game On stamp set was available in the annual catalogue Stampin' Up! catalgue that just retired on May 3rd.  Unfortunately it wasn't carried over to the new catalogue, but for those that were able to get their hands on it, I'm sure you love it just as much as I do.

For all of my cards I used a Real Red, Smoky Slate and Basic Black cardstock combo.  The sentiments are all embossed with white embossing powder and are all part of the Game On stamp set.

This set has a great check pattern that is perfect for creating backgrounds. You can see how I used it on the card above and below.  I distressed the edges of my card with Basic Grey ink and used that same ink to stamp my images as well (in some cases stampin off first).

Little touches like fussy cutting the dice, adding hand drawn stitching and colouring in the hearts on the cards make these cards POP.

I love how these cards turned out, and I think the receipients will as well.  I hope they've inspired you to do some stamping with this fun stamp set. Game On!
