Creating with Sand & Sea Suite

Hi there!  I am absolutely loving the Sand and Sea Suite from Stampin' Up!.  The embossing folder with coordinating die is genious - seriously, and it is the focus of the two cards I'm sharing today.

For my first card I started by ink blending a 4 x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White cardstock with with Pool Party ink. Then I tore a piece of the Sand & Sea DSP and adhered it to the bottom half of my ink blended cardstock. I matted this onto a slightly larger piece of Basic Black cardstock and then onto an A2 Very Vanilla card.

I ran some Pearlescent Specialty Paper through my Stamp n Emboss machine with the Seashell 3D embossing folder and then cut our the embossed images using the coordinating dies.  I then snipped apart the different shells to use on my card individually.  The stamped sentiment is from the Friends are Like Seashells stamp set and I just stamped it onto a very vanilla cardstock and die cut it out.

This next card using a piece of DSP instead of the ink blended background, and the seashells are embossed on foil cardstock from the Love You Always Foil Sheets pack found in the Jan-June mini catalogue.  Similar to my first card I used a sentiment from the Friends are Like Seashells stamp set, but this time I used Sahara Sand cardstock.  Sahara Sand cardstock is used as a matte on this card as well instead of the black, and then it's adhered to an A2 Basic White card.  The opal rounds make the perfect finishing touch on both of these cards.

If you want to see how I put this last card together (included a little trick for the inside of the card) check out my video HERE.

Have a wonderful day!
