Hi there! Somewhere between all the demands of regular life, I try to find time to shut out the noise and just have fun creating. My windows of time and creative brain don't always align mind you, but when things all fall together it's truly wonderful. That was how I felt when I pulled out the Hey Birthday Chick from Stampin Up! and decided to make some cards.
Sometimes I CASE a card to get myself started, other times it's a sketch or a magazine ad that I really like. No matter how I get started I always like to put my own spin on things and change them up in some way.. the colours, flipping the sketch around or swapping picture and word placements.
I have a few girlfriends with Birthday's coming up that these cards will be perfect for. I used Stampin' Blends to colour my images, and the pattern paper is In Good Taste DSP and one of the free floral paper packs from Sale-a-bration. The cardstock I used is Basic White, Real Red and Soft Suede.
