I hate to see you go!

Today I'm sharing cards I made using the Darling Donkey's stamp set.  If you haven't taken advantage of Sale-a-Bration and gotten your own Darling Donkey's stamp set, time is running out!  Sale-a-Bration ends February 28th!!

All of the cards I'm sharing today were also made with the Playing With Patterns DSP found in the annual catalogue.  I have to admit, purple is not my go to colour, but with these adorable donkey's any colour looks great!

The donkeys are coloured with Stampin' Blends in Smokey Slate.  I kept my embellishments minimal to make for easy mailing. For the card above I used Purple Posy as my matte, and below I used it as my cardbase with Night of Navy matting my image.

For my second set of cards I used Crushed Curry as my matte, and again coloured my donkeys in Smoky Slate.  For these cards I also used the dark Night of Navy Stampin' Blend to create hand drawn stitches along the top and bottom of my white stripe.

I stamped, coloured and cut four donkey images and then fussy cut them out.  I glued one donkey image flat and then used dimensionals to pop up another layer over top as show below.  In retrospect I really didn't need to colour the bottom image.

Although I chose to keep these cards fairly plain, as I knew I wanted to mail them out to some friends in the states, you could certainly have a lot of fun embellishing these fun images with shimmer and bling!

Don't miss out on Sale-a-Bration
