Easter Cards Day 2

Welcome back!  As promised, today I am going to share two more cards I made using the Gift of Hope and Springtime Joy stamp sets.

Hopefully you've had a chance to check out these two adorable stamp sets yourself, but if you haven't yet you can do so HERE or by following the links I've shared in my videos!

For this first card I used both the Gift of Hope and Springtime Joy stamp set.  I started by stamping only half of the floral vine image onto basic white cardstock. I coloured the image using stampin blends.  Then I blended some so saffron ink onto my cardstock and added a few splashes of ink as well.  You can check out my video below to see how I did the ink splashes!

I stamped the bunny onto a separate scrap of basic white cardstock, again coloured with stampin blends and then fussy cut it out.  I added it to my card with stampin' dimensionals and then stamped my sentiment with black memento ink.

I then used highland heather and basic black cardstock to matte my image before adhering it down to my basic white thick cardstock base.

Here is a look at how I put it all together..

My second card focuses on the Springtime Joy stamp set. As with my other card I started out with a basic white cardstock piece.  I stamped my lamb and the little chick onto the white cardstock. I also stamped the little chick onto a scrap of white cardstock, coloured it and fussy cut it out.  I then stamped the lamb, chick AND basket onto full adhesive backed post it notes and fussy cut them out too. Then, I covered the lamb with the post it note image and stamped the basket with a slight overlap. After my basket was stamped I covered it  and the little chick with the post it note image as well.

With the post it notes covering my images, I blended blushing bride ink onto my my card. When finished, I lifted off the post it notes and coloured my images with stampin' blends.  I did not colour the little chick as I layered the image I fussy cut out earlier over top with stampin dimensionals.

I layered my stamped image piece onto highland heather and so saffron cardstock before adding to my card base. I added the sentiment, butterfly and a few opal rounds to finish things off.

Here is a closer look at how this card came together..

I hope you've enjoyed these cards and will have a go at creating them yourself!
