Whiskey Business - 1 of 2

One of my favourite masculine sets in the current Stampin' Up! catalogue is called 'Whisky Business'. For me it feels like a more mature masculine stamp set. I also like it because aside from the one sentiment that mentions being a dad, the whole set is not dedicated to dads in particular, so it's a little bit more versatile.

I sat down with this set recently and made up a few different birthday cards to have on hand.  Rather than have one picture heavy post though, I'm going to share my cards with you in two different posts... Today being 1 of 2.

The first set of cards I kept pretty simple.  Stamping the images and colouring them in with some Stampin' Blends.  I used dimensionals in the center of my sentiment to pop it up a little instead of just laying it flat. The patterned paper is from the In Good Taste DSP pack, and I used it on all of my cards here. (Side Note - This paper pack is ON SALE right now!)

Similar to my first set, I stamped and coloured the images on my second set too, but this time I fussy cut out one of the glasses and used dimensonals to pop it off the card.  The patterned paper is the reverse side of scraps I had left over from my first set of cards.

As I write this post it's occurred to adding glossy accents over the glasses or whisky decanter would be a cool way to add some dimension as well.  Cheers!
