Hello!

It's World Card Making Day today!  I love that we recognize this special day in our hobby. Why not right?  I am forever grateful that I was introduced to paper crafting; the people I have met and friendships I have made are amazing.  And the mediums I use have come so far.. From stickers and markers to die cuts and modeling pastes!

There will be so many challenges posted all over the world wide web today, and I for one have made a point of booking some me time so I can check them out and get crafty.  (I hope you have too.)

Today I'm sharing two bright and cheerful cards I made recently.  I envision sending these to a crafty friend or two.  I made my card bases out of whisper white cardstock and then die cut the Hello sentiment directly on the  card fronts. I added a piece of acetate to the front inside cover and then covered that with patterned paper.  I added two more strips of patterned paper above and below the Hello sentiment on the card front.

Next I added some die cut clouds to the top and bottom leaving just a little gap in between for the patterned paper to show through and break up some of the white.  I stamped sentiments from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set to the the top and bottom and lastly added a few epoxy dots to finish things off.

The patterned paper is called Playing With Patterns from Stampin' Up! and the dies are from Paper Rose (Hello) and Heffy Doodle (Clouds).

I hope you found a little inspiration here to get you started on World Card Making Day.  Enjoy!
