Ahhh... a lazy, sunny Sunday with no plans to speak of. I love days like this every once in a while especially after the hustle and bustle of our New York City vacation last week! What a city.. so much to see and do. The picture below was taken from the 86th floor of the Empire State Building.
There were a few particular high lights of the trip for me, the 911 Memorial, the library, the bike carriage through Central Park, seeing where John Lennon lived (and Yoko Ono still does)... I will share more of our trip over the coming weeks, but I wanted to share this particular spot first as it was a completely unexpected find for me, and pleasantly so!
The sales staff inside were so relaxed, welcoming and warm. They asked where we were from, and when they found out we were from Canada, they seemed genuinely pleased that we took the time to pop in. I could have spent quite sometime in this shop if I didn't have my sweetheart in tow 😉 I do have to confess though, it was my sweetheart who first spotted this little gem and pointed it out. 💙 I did pick up a few beautiful ribbons to add to my collection of course, and I'm sure it is no surprise that there were a few stops at Johann's on our drive to and from New York as well. We also popped into a place called The Ink Pad in New York City. It's another little shop carrying a variety of wooden stamps and a few other goodies. I think I may just spend some of my day creating with all of my new goodies. Have a wonderful Sunday!
